James Allen’s Girls’ School
James Allen’s Girls’ School (JAGS) uses all the income it receives from The Dulwich Estate to pay for means-tested financial assistance to enable girls from all economic backgrounds to come to JAGS. In 2023/2024, 126 pupils received bursaries directly supported by income from the Estate.
The Estate has also provided capital funding for projects such as the building of a new Community Music Centre. This is now a 500-seat auditorium with 15 practice rooms. All of these facilities are available to JAGS and also to local schools, community groups and musicians for all types of performances from orchestral and choral, to contemporary bands and soloists.
