Reporting to: Senior Residential Portfolio Manager
Salary: Up to £30K (pro-rata) based on experience

Company Overview

The Dulwich Estate is a registered charity. We are stewards of a unique neighbourhood and 1,500 acres of land. Our day to day work involves looking after the Estate, preserving the character of a unique place in South East London. We invest income from the land and property we own to enable education for young people, provide homes for the elderly in Dulwich Almshouse, look after Christ's Chapel in Dulwich, and maintain the vibrant neighbourhoods. We provide funding to seven outstanding schools, in Dulwich, Orpington and East and Central London, either directly or through foundation trusts.

Role Summary

To assist with the day-to-day smooth running of the residential rented portfolio, overseeing the administrative functions of residential lettings including, but not limited to the key tasks identified below.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work in conjunction with the Senior Residential Portfolio Manager and the Residential Portfolio Manager
  • Issue Computer Amendment Forms upon instruction to enable the computer records to be updated
  • Issue Tenancy Renewal Memorandums upon instruction once terms have been negotiated and agreed
  • Renew the Tenancy Deposit Protection Certificates and issuing the relevant documents to the tenant(s)
  • Update the council tax and utilities suppliers when there is a change of status of properties.
  • Send deposit release letter and complete vacating tenancy checklists
  • Register new tenancy security deposits and complete new tenancy checklists
  • To carry out other duties reasonably required of an Administrative Support Assistant at the request of the Director of Property, the Senior Residential Portfolio Manager or the Residential Portfolio Manager

    Person Specification:
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in accordance with competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and spoken English with high level of accuracy in terms of spelling, grammar and content
  • Proactive, efficient and can-do in approach.
  • Willingness to learn and take feedback on board.
  • Highly personable and presentable and keen to learn and be a part of the team
  • Motivated to provide a high level in customer service.
  • IT competent in Excel and Word with the ability to grasp systems and procedures quickly

    Qualifications and Experience:
  • Lettings Administrative background preferable
  • Minimum 3 years of administrative experience
