Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.          An Oak tree approximately 15m in height, situated on the left-hand side of the front garden.  The tree is a little low growing.

T2.          A Chery tree approximately 4m in height, situated on the front boundary immediately to the left of the entrance.

T3.          A line of approximately 10 Malus trees approximately 7.5m in height, situated along the bottom boundary of the rear garden.  The trees are a little out of shape.

T4.          A Yew tree approximately 10m in height, situated on the right-hand side boundary towards the bottom of the rear garden.  The tree is a little wide-spreading.

T5.          A Yew tree approximately 6m in height, situated between (T4) above and another Yew tree close to the house.  The tree is a little too dominant along the right-side boundary of the rear garden.

Description of Approved Works

T1.          Two low growing branches encroaching towards a group of Holly trees be removed by severing at the main trunk.  Several other low branches should be lifted by either pruning at convenient growth points or the main trunk, including the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping.

T2.          Fell at ground level.

T3.          Canopies overhanging the garden be cut back to provide more compact specimens, together with the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping.  The basic shape. Should be retained.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points where possible.

T4.          Four low growing branches encroaching over the garden are removed by severing at convenient growth points.

T5.          Remove by felling at ground level.

Details of Replacement Required

None. 

T2.          A replacement tree is not necessary as the adjoining Rhododendron shrubs are sufficient.

T4.          A replacement tree is not necessary as the right-hand side boundary is well stocked with Yew trees.
