Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.         A Maple tree approximately 12m in height, situated close to the house on the left-hand side boundary of the rear garden.  The tree is a little low growing.

T2.         A tree (possibly a Liquidambar) approximately 9m in height, situated in the centre and midway down the rear garden.  The tree is leaning at an acute angle towards the property.

T3.         An Ash tree approximately 9m in height, situated to the left of a Garden Room close to the bottom boundary of the rear garden.

T4.         A Maple tree approximately 9m in height, situated to the front of the Garden Room on the right side of the rear garden.

T5.         A Wild Plum tree approximately 5m in height, situated close to the house on the right-hand side boundary of the rear garden.  The tree is a little dense and wide spreading.

T6.         An evergreen Magnolia tree approximately 7.5m in height, situated close to the house on the right-hand side boundary of the rear garden.  The tree is a little dense, wide spreading, and encroaching over the roof of the adjacent single storey building.

Description of Approved Works

T1.         Low branches to be lifted to provide a clearance of 2.5m from ground level, including the removal of any dead wood and necessary re-shaping.  The height and basic shape should be retained.

T2.         Remove and the roots grubbed out.

T3.         The branches encroaching into a Yew tree at the front of the garden building to be removed and the tree crown thinned by 20% including the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping.  The height and basic shape should be retained.

T4.         The low branches to be lifted and the tree crown thinned by 20% including the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping.  The height and basic shape should be retained.

T5.         Crown thin by 20% including the removal of dead wood and necessary trimming back of the overhanging canopy.  The height and basic shape should be retained.

T6.         Crown thin by 25% including the removal of dead wood, branches over the adjacent roof, and necessary re-shaping.  The height and basic shape should be retained.

Details of Replacement Required

None.  The garden is well stocked with mature trees.
