Species and Location of Trees
T1. An Oak tree approximately 12m in height, situated close to the pavement in the front garden. The tree has become too low growing over the pavement.
T2. A multi-stemmed Hawthorn tree approximately 5m in height, situated centrally in the rear garden lower area. The tree has lost its shape.
Description of Approved Works
T1. Lifting of the lowest branches to provide a 3.5m clearance over the pavement combined with a crown thinning of up to 10% to improve light penetration. It is important to ensure proper cuts are made at suitable growth points to minimise stress on the tree and promote healthy regrowth.
T2. Re-shape all over with up to 1m removed in places. It is important to ensure proper cuts are made at suitable growth points to minimise stress on the tree and promote healthy regrowth.
