Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

G1.         Two Purple Plum trees approximately 6.5m in height, situated to the front garden,

T1.          A Bay tree on the rear garden boundary with no.38.

T2.          A Willow tree approximately 9m in height, situated on the rear boundary.

T4.          A Pear tree situated on the rear boundary with no.34.

T3.          A Lawson Cypress tree situated on the rear boundary with no.38.  The tree is dead/dying.

Description of Approved Works

G1.         Crown reduce by up to 2.5m to suitable growth points.  Maintain at reduced size on a cyclical basis every two to three years.  A root barrier is also as suitable option, located in the proximity of the drip line,

T1.          Reduce and re-shape by up to 1.5m to suitable growth points.

T2.          Reduce to previous points to encourage the formation of knuckles.

T4.          Crown lift, reduce and reshape by up to 1.5m to suitable growth points.

T3.          Remove.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removal of the above, a replacement tree be planted in a nearby location of the rear garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:

Bee Bee Tree                     (Tetradium daniellii)

Ginkgo                                  (Ginkgo biloba)

Magnolia                             (Magnolia grandiflora or other spp.)

Liquidambar                       (Liquidambar styraciflua)

Service Tree                       (Sorbus torminalis)

The new tree should be planted at a minimum height of 2m.
