Proposal:

Specie and Location of Tree

A Hawthorn tree approximately 5.5m in height, situated on the left-hand side boundary towards the bottom of the rear garden.  The tree is poorly shaped.

Description of Approved Works

Remove.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removal of the above, a replacement tree should be planted in a convenient location of the rear garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:

Prunus avium (var)         (Cherry)

Arbutus unedo                (Strawberry tree)

Sorbus aucuparia            (Rowan)

The new tree should be planted during the November 2023 and March 2024 planting season with a stem girth of between 14-16cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 2.5m.
