Proposal:
Species and Location of Trees
T1. A twin stemmed Ash tree approximately 12m in height, situated on the front boundary to the left side of the entrance. The tree is in poor condition.
T2. A Sycamore tree approximately 9m in height, situated on the front boundary. The tree is a little dense and wide spreading.
T3. Two Elder trees approximately 5m in height, situated on the right- hand side boundary adjacent to the driveway
T4. A Eucalyptus tree approximately 12m in height, situated on the left-side midway down the rear garden. The tree is a little dense.
T5. A line of Sycamore trees approximately 12m in height, situated across the garden to the front of a large workshop close to the bottom boundary of the rear garden.
T6. Two Cypress trees approximately 12m in height, situated either side of the rear garden.
T7. An Aspen tree approximately 9m in height, situated on the left-side boundary of the rear garden. The tree is in poor condition with damage at the base of the trunk.
Description of Approved Works
T1. Remove.
T2. Crown thin by 20% including the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping. The height and basic shape should be retained.
T3. Remove and the stumps ground out.
T4. Crown thin by 20% including the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping.
T5. Remove and the roots grubbed out.
T6. Remove and the stumps ground out.
T7. Remove and the stump ground out.
Details of Replacement Required
As a condition of the removal of (T1) above, a replacement tree is to be planted on the front boundary a little further from the driveway and below is the agreed specie for consideration:
Fagus sylvatica ‘Fastigiata’ (Dawyck Beech)
The new tree should be planted during the November 2022 and March 2023 planting season with a stem girth of between 16-18cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 3m.
Replacement trees are not required for T3, T5, T6 and T7 as the garden is well stocked with mature trees.
