Proposal:
Species and Location of Trees
T1. A line of approximately 10 Cypress trees approximately 15m in height, situated along the bottom boundary of the rear garden. The trees have sparse foliage.
T2. Four Beech hedging plants approximately 5.00M in height, situated on the side boundaries (2 either side) of the rear garden. The trees are overgrown and badly sited.
Description of Approved Works
T1. Reduce in height to approximately 8-10m, and low branches over the public footpath and South Croxted Road to be lifted to provide a clearance from ground level of 3m and 6m respectively.
T2. All four to be removed together with the roots being grubbed out.
Details of Replacement Required
As a condition of the removals of (T2) above, two replacement trees are to be planted in the rear garden and below are the alternative species for consideration:
Acer Griseum (Paperbark Maple)
Arbutus unedo (Strawberry tree)
Magnolia soulangeana (deciduous Magnolia)
Koelreuteria paniculata (Pride of India)
The new trees should be planted during the November 2022 and March 2023 planting season with a stem girth of between 14-16cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 3m.
