Proposal:

Specie and Location of Tree

A Hawthorn tree approximately 7m in height, situated on the left-hand side boundary of the front garden.  The tree is dead.

Description of Approved Works

Remove and the stump ground out.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removal of the above, a replacement tree should be planted in a nearby convenient location of the front garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:

Magnolia soulangeana                   (Magnolia)

Sophora japonica                             (Japanese Pagoda tree)

Sorbus aria ‘Majestica’                  (variety of Whitebeam)

The new tree should be planted during the November 2022 and March 2023 planting season with a stem girth of between 14-16cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 3m.
