Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.         An Oak tree approximately 18m in height, situated on the left-hand side midway down the rear garden.  The tree recently shed a very large bough from the upper crown

T2.         The stump of an old Poplar tree approximately 4m in height, situated close to the bottom boundary of the rear garden.  It is now completely rotten throughout.

T3.         A Eucalyptus tree approximately 12m in height, situated on the bottom boundary of the rear garden.  The tree is too tall for its location.

T4.         A row of Cypress trees approximately 6m in height, situated along a section of the bottom boundary of the rear garden.  The trees are a little too tall.

T5.         An Oak tree approximately 15m in height, situated close to the house on the right-hand side boundary of the rear garden.  The tree is a little dense.

T6.         An Oak tree approximately 9m in height, situated on the front boundary with College Road to the left of the driveway.  The tree is a little dense.

T7.         An Oak tree approximately 12m in height, situated on the front boundary with College Road to the left of the pedestrian entrance.  The tree is a little dense.

Description of Approved Works

T1.         Crown thin by 30% including paring back the snag end where the bough snapped, removal of dead wood, lifting of low branches, and necessary re-shaping.  The height and basic shape should be retained.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points, rather than an all-round reduction or pollarding which is not permitted.

T2.         Remove.

T3.         Reduce in height to approximately 6 – 7.5m, including the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping.

T4.         Reduce in height to approximately 3m and clip to shape.

T5.         Crown thinned by 25% including the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping.  The height and basic shape should be retained.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points, rather than an all-round reduction or pollarding which is not permitted.

T6.         Crown thin by 20% including the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping.  The height and basic shape should be retained.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points, rather than an all-round reduction or pollarding which is not permitted.
