Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.          A Laburnum tree approximately 5m in height, situated in the front left-hand corner of the front garden.  The tree is dead.

T2.          A Cherry tree approximately 5m in height, situated on the right-hand side of the front boundary close to the garage.  The tree is in declining health with several bracket fungi (Ganoderma) at the base of the trunk.

T3.          A Yew tree approximately 6m in height, situated near the bottom right-hand corner of the rear garden.  The tree is a little tall and dense.

Description of Approved Works

T1.          Remove and the stump either poisoned or ground out.

T2.          Remove and the stump either poisoned or ground out.

T3.          Reduce in height by up to 1m and the sides trimmed back proportionally, it is also advisable to remove the Ivy from the tree.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removals of the above, two replacement trees should be planted in a convenient location of the front garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:

Laburnum x vossii                            (Laburnum)

Koelreuteria paniculata                 (Pride of India)

Sorbus aria ‘Majestica’                  (Variety of Whitebeam)
