Proposal:
Species and Location of Trees
T1. A Purple Plum tree approximately 6m in height, situated in the front right-hand corner adjacent to Court Lane. The tree is a little dense and wide spreading.
T2. A Holm Oak tree approximately 6m in height, situated on the right-hand side boundary of the front garden.
T3. A Magnolia tree approximately 6m in height, situated in the centre of the front garden. The tree is a little low growing.
T4. A River Birch approximately 7.5m in height, situated on the front boundary of the front garden. The tree is a little low growing over the adjacent footpath.
T5. Three small Judas trees approximately 3m in height, situated midway down the rear garden on the left-hand side boundary. The trees are in poor health due to waterlogged soil.
T6. An Ash tree approximately 15m in height, situated on the right-hand side boundary midway down the rear garden. The tree is a little low growing.
Description of Approved Works
T1. Crown thin by 20% including the removal of dead wood, water shoots, and necessary re-shaping. The height and basic shape should be retained. It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points, rather than an all-round reduction or pollarding which is not permitted.
T2. Lightly thin by 15% including the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping.
T3. Low branches to be lifted as necessary, no other work is necessary at the present time.
T4. Low branches to be lifted as necessary.
T5. Remove and replace with more suitable species.
T6. Low branches to be lifted over the adjacent shrub borders and any dead wood removed.
Details of Replacement Required
As a condition of the removals of (T5) above, three replacement trees should be planted in a in a nearby location of the rear garden garden and below are the four alternative species for consideration:
Amelanchier lamarckii (Snowy Mespilus)
Sorbus aucuparia (Rowan)
Populus lasiocarpa (large leafed Poplar)
Betula nigra (River Birch)
