Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.          A Hawthorn tree approximately 6m in height, situated in a central location on the front boundary with Court Lane.  The tree is very dense.

T2.          A False Acacia tree approximately 12m in height, situated in a central location towards the bottom of the rear garden.

T3.          A Weeping Ash tree approximately 12m in height, situated on the right-hand side boundary of the rear garden.  The tree is a little dense.

T4.          A Weeping Ash tree approximately 12m in height, situated on the left-hand side boundary, midway down the rear garden.  The tree is a little dense.

T5.          An Ornamental Pear tree approximately 7.5m in height situated close to the house on the right-hand side boundary of the rear garden.  The tree is a little dense and wide spreading.

Description of Approved Works

T1.          Crown thin by 20% including the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping.  The height and basic shape should be retained.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points where possible.

T2.          Remove and the stump ground out.

T3.          Remove one main branch encroaching over the garden, including the removal of dead wood.

T4.          Crown thin by 20% including the removal of dead wood, water shoots, and necessary re-shaping.  The height and basic shape should be retained.

T5.          Lightly thin by 15% and re-shape to form a more compact specimen.

Details of Replacement Required

T1.          It was agreed that two new trees of the same specie and variety would be planted on the front boundary either side of the Hawthorn and below are the three alternative species for recommended for consideration:

Albizzia julibrissin             (Silk tree)

Arbutus unedo                  (Strawberry tree)

Sorbus aria ‘Majestica’  (variety of Whitebeam)
