Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.          A Fig tree approximately 4m in height, situated close to the house on the right-hand side boundary of the rear garden.  The tree is too large for its location.

T2.          A variety of Prunus approximately 4m in height, situated on the left-hand side boundary of the rear garden.  The tree is dead.

T3.          A Cherry tree approximately 5m in height, situated further down the left-hand side boundary than (T2).  The tree is badly shaped and in poor health and condition.

T4.          A variety of Prunus situated on the right-side towards the bottom of the rear garden.  The tree is in poor condition with a bracket fungi (Gandoderma) at the base of the trunk and is dying.

T5.          Two small Cypress trees approximately 2.5m in height, situated close to the bottom boundary of the rear garden near the left-hand side boundary.  The trees are badly sited.

T6,          A Bay tree approximately 4m in height, situated on the right-hand side boundary of the front garden.  The tree is sited too close to a more important Magnolia tree and a Continus bush.

Description of Approved Works

T1.          Remove and the stump ground out.

T2.          Remove with the roots grubbed out if possible.

T3.          Remove and the stump ground out if possible.

T4.          Remove and the stump ground out if possible.

T5.          Remove and the roots grubbed out.

T6.          Remove and the stump ground out.

Details of Replacement Required

(T5)        As a condition of the removals of the above, three replacement trees are to be planted in a convenient location of the rear garden and below are the three-alternative species for consideration:

Crataegus prunifolia                        (Cockspur Thorn)

Sorbus aucuparia                              (Rowan)

Amelanchier lamarckii                    (Snowy Mespilus)

(T6)        As a condition of the removal of the above, two replacement trees are to be planted on the boundary with Court Lane either side of a proposed path and the trees should be the same and below are the three-alternative species for consideration:

Laburnum x vossii                            (Golden Chain)

Crataegus ‘Paul’s Scarlet’              (Crimson May tree)

Prunus lamarckii                               (Snowy Mespilus)
