Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.         A Birch tree approximately 13m in height, situated in the middle of the rear garden to the right-hand side.

T2.         A Bay tree approximately 3m in height, situated in the corner of the rear patio to the right-hand side.

T3.         A Lawson Cypress tree approximately 3.5m in height, situated at the end of the rear garden by the rear boundary.

Description of Approved Works

T1.         Thin outer canopy by 50%, attempt to introduce some apical dominance to discourage flushing regrowth.

T2.         Prune back to previous shape.

T3.         Remove.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removal of (T3) above, a replacement tree is to be planted at the end of the rear garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:

Cercis siliquastrum                       (Judas)

Eriobotrya japonica                                                  (Locquat)

Liquidambar styraciflua               (Sweet Gum)

The tree should be planted with a stem girth of between 10-12cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 3m.
