Proposal:
Species and Location of Trees
T1. A Bay tree approximately 10m in height, situated in the rear garden on the boundary with Delawyck Crescent. The base has uplifted concrete pavers whilst the lower crown is obstructing the roof.
T2. A Yucca approximately 6m in height, situated to the rear garden patio. The tree is in declining condition.
Description of Approved Works
T1. The crown should be laterally reduced to provide 1.5 -2m clearance from the property, the height and overall form to be retained. Pavers should be lifted and re-laid on an appropriate gradient so that roots are not severed. Alternatively, hoggin or other flexible, permeable material could also be laid.
T2. Remove.
Details of Replacement Required
As a condition of the removal of the above, a replacement tree is to be planted in a convenient location of the rear garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:
Magnolia (Magnolia spp.)
Juneberry (Amelanchier spp)
Paperbark maple (Acer griseum)
Judas tree (Cercis siliquastrum)
Katsura (Cercidiphyllum japonicum)
