Proposal:
Species and Location of Trees
T1. A line of Cypress trees approximately 10m in height, situated on the bottom boundary of the rear garden. There are four similar Cypress trees nearby on the left-hand side boundary and two on the right-hand side boundary. These trees are in poor condition.
T2. A Box Elder tree (Acer negundo) approximately 12m in height, situated close to the house on the right-hand side boundary. The tree is a little dense, wide spreading, and leaning slightly towards the house.
Description of Approved Works
T1. The line of Cypress trees should be retained. The four similar Cypress trees on the left-hand side boundary and the two Cypress trees on the right-hand side boundary should be removed by felling at ground level.
T2. Crown thin by 20% including the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping. The height and basic shape should be retained. It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points rather than a crown reduction or pollarding which is not permitted.
Details of Replacement Required
None. Replacements are not necessary as the garden is well stocked with mature trees
