Species and Location of Trees
T1. A variegated Holly tree approximately 6m in height, situated on the left-hand side boundary of the rear garden. The tree is a little tall and wide spreading.
T2. A self-sown Ash tree approximately 7.5m in height, situated on the left-hand side boundary of the rear garden. The tree is badly sited.
T3. A Bay tree approximately 6m in height, situated next to the Ash (T2).
T4. A Maidenhair tree (Ginkgo) approximately 10m in height, situated on the left-hand side boundary of the rear garden. The tree is a little dense.
T5. A line of Cypress trees approximately 10m in height, situated on the bottom boundary of the rear garden. The trees are a little too tall and wide spreading.
T6. A Maidenhair tree approximately 10m in height, situated on the right-hand side boundary of the rear garden opposite (T4).
T7. A Eucalyptus tree approximately 18m in height, situated on the right-hand side boundary. The tree is a little dense and wide spreading.
T8. A Box Elder tree (Acer negundo) approximately 12m in height, situated close to the house on the right-hand side boundary. The tree is a little dense and wide spreading.
Description of Approved Works
T1. Reduce in height by up to 1.5m and the side growth rounded off proportionally.
T2. Remove and the stump poisoned.
T3. Lightly thin by 10% including the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping.
T4. Crown thin by 20% including the removal of dead wood, lifting of low branches, and necessary re-shaping. The height and basic shape should be retained. It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points, rather than an all-round reduction or pollarding which is not permitted.
T5. Reduce in height by 50% including trimming back the side growth as much as possible whilst retaining green foliage and not exposing the inner dead wood.
T6. Crown thin by 20% including the removal of dead wood, lifting of low branches, and necessary re-shaping. The height and basic shape should be retained. It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points, rather than an all-round reduction or pollarding which is not permitted.
T7. Crown thin by 25% including the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping. The height and basic shape should be retained. It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points where possible.
