Proposal:

Specie and Location of Tree

An Ash tree approximately 17m in height, situated at the bottom of the rear garden.  The tree has significant and advanced ash dieback.

Description of Approved Works

Remove or reduce to a safe height as a standing stem monolith of 4m for example.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removal of the above, a replacement tree should be planted as close as possible to the location of the existing tree to be replaced and below are the four alternative species for consideration:

Ginkgo biloba                                    (Maidenhair tree)

Catalpa binoniodes                         (Indian Bean Tree)

Sophora japonica                             (Japanese Pagoda Tree  )

Tilia tomentosa Petiolaris             (Silver Pendant Lime)

The tree should be planted with a stem girth of 12-14cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 3.5m.  The new tree should be planted during the November 2024 and March 2025 planting season.
