Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

A Honey Locust tree approximately 7.5 in height, situated on the left-hand side boundary midway down the rear garden.  The tree is a little sparse and wide spreading.

Description of Approved Works

Crown thin by 20% including the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping.  The height and basic shape should be retained.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points where possible.

Alternatively, the tree may be removed on the understanding that a replacement tree will be planted.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removal of the above, a replacement tree is to be planted in a suitable location of the rear garden and below are the agreed alternative species for consideration:

Crataegus prunifolia        (Cockspur Thorn)

Koelreuteria paniculata (Pride of India)

Sorbus aria ‘Majestica’  (Variety of Whitebeam)

The tree should be planted with a stem girth of between 14-16cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 3.5m.
