Proposal:
Species and Location of Trees
A row of 10 Cypress trees approximately 10-15m in height, situated along the front boundary with College Road. The trees are in poor health, are too tall and the incorrect specie for the location.
Description of Approved Works
Remove and the roots ground out.
Details of Replacement Required
As a condition of the removals of the above, three replacement trees of the same species are to be planted in a close to the front boundary and one of the following alternative species is recommended:
Crataegus ‘Paul’s Scarlet’ (Crimson May tree)
Sorbus aria ‘Decaisneana’ (Variety of Whitebeam)
Cercis siliquastrum (Judas tree)
The trees should be planted with a stem girth of between 14-16cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 3.5m.
It is also agreed that a hedge would be planted along the front boundary which should be a Privet hedge and should be planted at suitable centres. New plants should be bushy specimens with at least five breaks in the lower third and should be planted at a minimum height of 1.2m.
