Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.          A Laburnum tree approximately 4m in height, situated close to the house on the right-hand side boundary of the rear garden.  The tree is dead.

T2.          A Cedar tree approximately 15m in height, situated on the right-hand side midway down the rear garden and close to the pond.  The tree is a a little dense and wide spreading to the right-hand side.

T3.          An Ash tree approximately 12m in height, situated in the bottom right-hand corner of the rear garden.

Description of Approved Works

T1.          Remove and the roots grubbed out.

T2.          Crown thin by 20% with the empathises on the right-side in order to restore some natural balance.  The height and basic shape should be retained.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points where possible.

T3.          Remove all dead wood and necessary re-shaping.  The height and basic shape should be retained.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removal of (T1) above, a replacement tree should be planted in a convenient location of the rear garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:

Acer griseum                      (Paperbark Maple)

Koelreuteria paniculate (Pride of India)

Halesia carolina                 (Snowdrop tree)

The tree should be planted with a stem girth of between 14-16 cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 3m.  The tree should be planted during the November 2021 and March 2022 planting season.
