Dulwich Village, 93
Proposal:
Species and Location of Trees
T1. Two Cherry trees approximately 15m in height, situated side by side in the centre of the rear garden in relatively close proximity to the house. The trees are a little dense and low growing.
T2. A Cedar tree approximately 12m in height, situated on the right-hand side boundary opposite the Cherry trees (T1) above. The tree is in poor health and condition
T3. Two self-sown Elder saplings approximately 4m in height, situated under the canopy of the Cedar tree (T2) above.
Description of Approved Works
T1. Lightly thin by 15% on the leaning sides, including the removal of dead wood and lifting of low branches. The height and basic shape should be retained. It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points, rather than an all-round reduction or pollarding which is not permitted.
NB: The close proximity of the two Cherry trees has resulted in the trees being somewhat one sided, therefore the possibility of bracing the two main stems together should be explored.
T2. Lightly thin and reduce by up to 15% in order to try and invigorate some new growth, including the removal of dead wood and lifting of low branches. The basic shape should be retained.
T3. Remove and the roots grubbed out.
