Proposal:
Species and Location of Trees
T1. A twin-stemmed Oak tree approximately 16m in height, situated on the left-hand side boundary of the rear garden.
T2. A Cherry tree approximately 5m in height, situated on the front boundary close to the front left-hand corner of the house. The tree is far too close and leaning into the property.
T3. A Purple Plum tree approximately 7.5m in height, situated on the front boundary to the left of (T2) above. The tree is dead.
T4. A Rowan tree approximately 9m in height, situated on the front boundary close to the left-hand corner of the garden. The tree is a poor specimen.
Description of Approved Works
T1. Removal of low growth up to 5m above ground level including the removal of dead wood. No other work is necessary at the present time.
T2. Remove and the roots grubbed out.
T3. Remove and the roots grubbed out.
T4. Remove and the roots grubbed out.
Details of Replacement Required
As a condition of the removals of the above, a replacement tree should be planted in a suitable location on the front boundary and below are the three alternative species for consideration:
Betula nigra (River Birch)
Acer griseum (Paperbark Maple)
Arbutus unedo (Strawberry tree)
The tree should be planted with a stem girth of between 14-16cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 3m. The new tree should be planted during the November 2021 and March 2022 planting season.
