Proposal:
Species and Location of Trees
T1. A conifer tree (possibly a Japanese Cedar) approximately 7m in height, situated on the right-hand side of the front garden close to the road boundary. The tree is a little tall for its location.
T2. A Weeping Birch tree approximately 7.5m in height, situated on the left-hand side of the front boundary.
T3. A Silver Birch tree approximately 6m in height, situated on the right-hand side boundary close to the corner of the house. The tree is a little out of shape.
Description of Approved Works
T1. Reduce in height by approximately 1m and re-shape as necessary. Alternatively, the tree may be removed.
T2. Upper growth above the crown should be removed together with four low growing branches, including the removal of any dead wood and necessary re-shaping. The height and basic shape should be retained.
T3. The upper growth to be removed in order to provide a more rounded canopy together with the removal of any dead wood and necessary re-shaping.
Details of Replacement Required
As a condition of the removal of (T1) above, a replacement tree is to be planted in a suitable location of the front garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:
Corylus colurna (Turkish Hazel)
Sorbus aucuparia ‘Joseph Rock’ (Fastigiate Rowan)

The tree should be planted this planting season between November 2021 and March 2022 with a stem girth of between 12-14cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 2.5m.
