Half Moon Lane, 26
Proposal:
Species and Location of Trees
T1. Two Yew trees approximately 10m in height, situated on the front boundary with Half Moon Lane either side of the entrance. The trees are a little dense.
T2. 20 mature Lime trees approximately 3.5m – 4m in height, situated on the right-hand side boundary of the front and rear garden adjacent to Stradella Road.
Description of Approved Works
T1. Crown thin by 20% including the removal of dead wood and lifting of low branches. The height and basic shape should be retained. It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points, rather than an all-round reduction or pollarding which is not permitted.
T2. Re-pollard at previous pollarding heights of approximately 3m, the intention is to pleach new growth between the trees in order to provide a high hedge effect.
Details of Replacement Required
None. However, it may be worth considering re-planting a new Lime tree in the gap between the second and third tree along the row from the junction with Half Moon Lane.
