Species and Location of Trees
G1-G21 A line of mature Lime trees approximately 10m-12m in height, situated on the side boundary with Burbage Road. The trees are very dense, wide-spreading and low growing over a public footpath.
T1 & T2. Two large mature Lime trees approximately 15m in height, situated on the front boundary with Half Moon Lane close to the corner with Burbage Road. Both trees are a little dense and wide-spreading.
T3. A Horse Chestnut tree approximately 16m in height, situated in the front left-hand corner adjacent to Half Moon Lane. The tree is dying.
Description of Approved Works
G1-G21 Crown thin by 20% including the removal of dead wood and necessary shortening of long lateral branches away from the road and adjacent buildings. The height may also be reduced to previous pruning points. It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points where possible.
T1 & T2 Crown thin by 20% including the removal of dead wood, lifting of low branches, and necessary shortening of long lateral branches away from the road, the height may also be reduced by up to 25%. However, it is important to prune branches at convenient growth points where possible.
T3. Remove and the stump ground out.
Details of Replacement Required
As a condition of the removal of the above, a replacement tree should be planted in a in a nearby location on the boundary with Half Moon Lane and below are the three-alternative species for consideration:
Robinia pseudoacacia (False Acacia)
Quercus robur ‘fastigiata (Columnar English Oak)
Liriodendron tulipifera (Tulip tree)
