Proposal:
Specie and Location of Tree
Two Cypress trees approximately 10m in height, situated together on the bottom boundary of the rear garden. Both trees are rounded off as one. The trees are a little dense and wide spreading.
Description of Approved Works
The trees can either be removed altogether or reduced in height by up to 2m with the side growth trimmed back proportionally whilst retaining green foliage and not exposing the inner dead wood.
Details of Replacement Required
If the trees are removed, a condition of the removals of the above would be, a replacement tree to be planted in the rear garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:
Arbutus unedo (Strawberry tree)
Crataegus prunifolia (Cockspur Thorn)
Acer davidii (Snakebark Maple)
The tree new should be planted during the November 2023 and March 2024 planting season with a stem girth of between14-16cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 3m.
