Proposal:
Species and Location of Trees
T1. A Holly tree approximately 7.5m in height, situated on the right-hand side of the bottom boundary of the rear garden. The tree is a little tall and dense.
T2. A Cypress tree approximately 9m in height, situated on the left-hand side of the bottom boundary of the rear garden. The tree is too large for the small garden.
T3. An Almond tree approximately 4m in height, situated on the front garden.
Description of Approved Works
T1. Reduce in height by approximately 30% and the crown thinned by 20% including the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping as a more compact specimen. It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points where possible.
T2. Remove by felling at ground level.
T3. Removal of one dead branch. No other work is necessary for the time being.
Details of Replacement Required
As a condition of the removal of (T2) above, a replacement tree is to be planted in a convenient location of the rear garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:
Amelanchier lamarckii (Snowy Mespilus)
Sorbus aucuparia (Rowan)
Prunus Autumnalis (Winter flowering Cherry)
The tree should be planted with a stem girth of between 12-14cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 3m.
