Species and Location of Trees
T1. A Pittosporum tree approximately 7.5m in height, situated on the left-hand side boundary of the front garden. The tree is a little tall and wide spreading.
T2. A Prunus tree approximately 6m in height, situated on the left-hand side boundary midway down the rear garden. The tree is badly sited against the boundary fence and close to the path.
T3. An Oak tree situated in the Rosendale Allotments overhangs the garden shed and touches the roof.
T4. A Lombardy Poplar tree approximately 18m in height, situated in the bottom right-hand corner of the rear garden. The tree is a little dense and wide spreading.
Description of Approved Works
T1. Reduce in height by up to 1m and the side growth rounded off proportionally. It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points where possible.
T2. Remove and the stump either ground out or poisoned.
T3. Contact the allotments to arrange for the branches to be lifted off the roof.
T4. Crown thin by approximately 20% including the removal of any dead wood, lifting of low branches by pruning at the main trunk, and the necessary shaping of the tree, ensuring the height and basic shape is retained. It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points, rather than an all-round reduction or pollarding which is not permitted.
Details of Replacement Required
None. A replacement tree is not necessary as the garden is well stocked with trees.
