Proposal:
Species and Location of Trees
T1. A Holm Oak tree approximately 12m in height, situated on the right-hand side boundary midway down the rear garden. The tree is a little dense and wide spreading.
T2. A Purple Plum tree approximately 7.5m in height, situated reasonably close to the house on the left-hand side boundary of the rear garden. The tree appears to be dead.
Description of Approved Works
T1. Crown thin by 20% including the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping. The height may be reduced by up to 4m and rounded off proportionally.
T2. Re-inspect in the Spring with regard to any new leaf cover. Should this be minimal the tree will be removed, together with the stump being ground out if possible.
Details of Replacement Required
As a condition of the removal of the above, a replacement tree is to be planted in a close by in the rear garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:
Arbutus unedo (Strawberry tree)
Koelreuteria paniculate (Pride of India)
Albizzia julibrissin (Silk tree)
