Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.          A Cherry tree approximately 6m in height, situated on the front boundary with Sydenham Hill.  The tree is a little dense and wide spreading.

T2.          A Camellia tree approximately 6m in height, situated against the house to the right of the front door.  The tree is a little too tall and dense.

T3.          An Almond tree approximately 6m in height, situated on the right-side of the entrance.

T4.          An Oak tree approximately 16m in height, situated close to the house on the left- hand side boundary of the rear garden.  The tree is a little dense and wide spreading.

T5.          A Camellia tree approximately 5.5m in height, situated in a central location of the rear garden.  The tree is a little out of shape.

T6.          A Magnolia tree approximately 5-6m in height, situated in a central location on the bottom boundary of the rear garden.  The tree is a little out of shape.

T7.          Two Cherry trees approximately 7.5m in height, situated on the right-hand side boundary of the rear garden.

T8.          A Hornbeam group approximately 9m in height, situated close to the side wall of the house on the left side of the rear garden, and under a mature Oak tree (T4) above. The trees are tall and wide spreading.

T9.          A Yew tree approximately 6m in height, situated close to the house on the left-side of the rear garden.  The tree is a little dense and wide spreading.

Description of Approved Works

T1.          Crown thin by 20% including the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping.  The height and basic shape should be retained.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points, rather than an all-round reduction or pollarding which is not permitted.

T2.          Reduce in height to just below cill level of the front bedroom window and re-shape as necessary.

T3.          Crown thin by 20% including the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping.

T4.          Crown thin by 20% including the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping.  The height and basic shape should be retained.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points, rather than an all-round reduction or pollarding which is not permitted.

T5.          Reduce all round to a more formal shape including the removal of dead wood.

T6.          Re-shape to form a more balanced specimen including the removal of dead wood.

T7.          Lightly thin and re-shape to provide more formal specimens.

T8.          The height to be reduced from under the Oak canopy and crown thinned by 20% including the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping.

T9.          Crown thin by 20% including the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping.  The height and basic shape should be retained.
