Proposal:

Specie and Location of Tree

A Rowan tree approximately 9m in height, situated overhanging the entrance driveway on a bare earth slope.  The base has decayed and dysfunctional bark with evidence of dieback within the crown.

Description of Approved Works

Remove.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removal of the above, a replacement tree is to be planted in a convenient location of the front garden and below are the four alternative species for consideration:

Sorbus torminalis                             (Wild Service/Chequer Tree)

Pyrus Chanticleer                             (Chanticleer Pear)

Acer griseum                                      (Paperbark Maple)

Prunus Sunset Boulevard              (Fastigiate Cherry)

 

The new tree should be planted during the November 2024 and March 2025 planting season with a stem girth of between 12-14cm.
