Boost to biodiversity
27 November 2024New small water features will be installed at the Village Orchard and Grove Meadow in Dulwich.
These shallow depressions help to detain flood and storm water runoff temporarily and may dry out over summer. They are important for amphibians and habitat for other water loving insects. Pollinators will also benefit from the raised bunds seeded with wildflower. The initiative is part of the Estate’s ongoing biodiversity schemes.
