Pupils volunteer in the community

Thanks to Dulwich College students who used the summer Community Volunteer Day to meet with Dulwich Almshouse Residents as well as undertake environmental work at Grange Lane Allotments.

Participants enthusiastically tackled weeding, sweeping and cleaning the communal area of The Old Grammar School which is now a social space for Almshouse residents. They also played games and set up a tech station to trouble shoot resident IT problems and support online shopping.

Fifteen pupils joined The Dulwich Estate surveyors team to help plot trees, part of a data-gathering exercise to identify the age and species of trees across Dulwich. Chair of GLA Southwark Tyrrell Evans led the project which is part a voluntary community outreach programme by Dulwich College, to carry out of day of service and help others.
