JAGS school in Dulwich is committing to cut carbon in a number of key areas and join other schools around the UK in becoming a zero-carbon school by 2030. Over the next crucial ‘climate decade’ JAGS will be part of Let’s Go Zero – a national campaign creating a network of schools and sustainability organisations to share information, learn about how to get to zero carbon, and work with local councils and government to make it happen.
Mrs Alex Hutchinson, Headmistress of JAGS, said, ‘It is vital that we protect our planet for future generations and in becoming a zero-carbon school, JAGS is pledging a commitment towards this on a local level. It is something that we are passionate about as a community, and we look forward to working with pupils, staff and families in achieving our goal.’
